You can obtain a Czech driving license by presenting it at the Driving Licensing Office (Na Pankr\u00e1ci 1685\/17, 140 00 Prague 4). Please note that requirements vary depending on the issuing location.<\/p>\n
If you are an EU citizen (or a Norwegian, Swiss, Icelandic, or Liechtenstein national), you must exchange your driver's license for a Czech one if you intend to stay in the Czech Republic for more than six months (185 days). You can provide a rental or employment contract as proof.<\/p>\n
If your driving license was issued by a non-EU country, there are two possible cases:<\/p>\n
1. Your driving license meets the requirements of the Vienna Convention on Road Traffic (1968). If the country of issue of your driving license is on the list of contracting states (such as the Czech Republic), it will be a pink plastic card (54 x 86 mm) or a paper document.<\/p>\n
The front should read \u201cDriver\u2019s License\u201d in the national language of the issuing country.<\/p>\n

All information must be written in Latin script.<\/p>\n
\u2192 If you hold a residence permit for the Czech Republic valid for more than one year, you must replace your driving license with a Czech driving license within three months of the residence permit being issued.<\/p>\n
\u2192 If you have a temporary, long-term or permanent residence valid for more than one year, you only need to present your driving license at the municipal driver's office.<\/p>\n
In both cases you must provide proof of your residence here.<\/p>\n
2. If your driving license does not meet the above requirements (i.e., your license was not issued in one of the countries that have signed the Vienna Convention on Road Traffic), you must attend a driving school in the Czech Republic. After passing the driving school test, you can apply for a Czech driving license. Again, you must have resided in the country for at least six months and provide proof of residency. You may need assistance with this. We are happy to assist you through the process.<\/p>\n

We will then schedule an appointment at our office, and you will pay a deposit of CZK 1,500 (Prague) or CZK 1,210 (Brno), which is included in the total price. Foreigners cooperate with a driving school in Prague 4 that offers lessons in English.<\/p>\n
The driving course for a car driving license lasts three months and costs 14,700 CZK.<\/p>\n
The driving course for a motorcycle license is equally time-consuming and costs 18,500 CZK.<\/p>\n
If you register for both courses, the total price is 26,700 CZK.<\/p>\n
These prices include 3 months of driving lessons, the final exam (700 CZK) and a court interpreter to assist during the final exam (1,500 CZK).<\/p>\n
Please note that you will need to provide a mandatory medical certificate before the class, which costs approximately 500 CZK.<\/p>\n

The driving course for the motorcycle license is equally time-consuming and costs 9,910 CZK.<\/p>\n
These prices include three months of driving lessons (28 lessons of 45 minutes each), the final exam and the assistance of a court interpreter during the final exam (prices as above).<\/p>\n
