The Irish Passport Service has resumed processing online applications under Phase 2 of the government's roadmap. Please be patient as we process the large number of online applications received during our office closure.

Passport Online is open to all applicants residing in Ireland, the UK, the EU, the EEA and Switzerland, including children renewing their passports and those applying for their first passport.

INTERNATIONAL POSTAL RESTRICTIONS
During COVID-19, the Passport Service is working with An Post to provide Passport Online.

An Post continues normal deliveries in Ireland, Northern Ireland, Great Britain and most European Union countries.

Due to COVID-19, some international restrictions are in place. Information about An Post's international postal services can be found here: https://www.anpost.com/Covid-19

Where An Post's international service is unavailable, we are working to deliver the passport online through our network of embassies and consulates. If you have prepaid for delivery (€15), there will be no additional charge.

BUY IRISH PASSPORT EXPRESS
Processing of Passport Express applications will not resume until late summer. Post offices in Ireland will not accept applications submitted through the Passport Express system during this period. If you have already submitted an application, it is secure and will be processed in due course.

FOREIGN BIRTH SURISTS
Processing of foreign birth certificates will be postponed until late summer. If you have already submitted an application, it is safe and will be processed in due course.
