Do you have an identity card number, but are you still registered in the national registration system as a Norwegian immigrant?
There may be various reasons why you were registered in the National Register as having moved from Norway.
If you are registered as a resident of Norway due to an expired residence permit and a new application is being processed, you can request the Norwegian Immigration Service (UDI) to notify the Norwegian Tax Agency so that they can re-register you in the National Register. This is only possible if the Norwegian Immigration Service considers that you were legally resident in Norway at the time of your registration as a resident of Norway.
If you are no longer registered in the National Register for other reasons, please contact your local Norwegian tax office. (external website)
YOUR NATIONAL IDENTITY NUMBER AND YOUR DATE OF BIRTH ARE NOT THE SAME
